To all the people who think it's "cute" or "cool" to have a Service Dog let me remind you the person that utilizes them has a disability that limits how they function every day on their own.
What would I give for a normal day to be able to go and do what I want not worrying that I may fall and cause injuries that won't heal.
"Used to" is a phrase that causes me to cringe because I mourn the busy, crazy life I had.
I try to keep positive but it's tough when what people see is the outside facade of a "healthy" me.
I've changed but not by choice. It isn't a result of lifestyle and diet is helping and any walking keeps me from slipping to a state where my muscles don't want to cooperate at all.
There is no cure for the daily pain and muscle spasms that not even muscle relaxers are helping.
But I'm alive! God gave me another day!
I've had Cancer over twenty years ago! And it was cured!
There is no cure for my condition...
But my adaptation of utilizing a Service Dog gives me hope and push I need to get up and try again every day.
